KALESH helps flatmates track shared expenses and chores. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you can get rid of it.
We don't sell your data. We don't run ads. We don't share your information with anyone except the infrastructure providers below.
KALESH runs on Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics, Analytics, Cloud Functions), which stores and processes this data on our behalf. Account emails such as address verification and password resets are delivered over Gmail SMTP.
People in your house can see your display name, avatar, points, title, the expenses you add and the chores you complete. That's the point of the app — assume anything you enter is visible to your flatmates. Your email address and phone number are not shown to them.
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app: Profile → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, your points and titles, your push token, and your house membership.
One exception. Expenses and chores you shared with flatmates are kept, with your name removed and replaced by "Deleted user". We can't delete them outright because other people's balances are calculated from them — erasing your half of a shared expense would change what your flatmates owe each other. Nothing personally identifying stays attached to those records.
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. Once you delete your account, the data described above is removed immediately. Crash and analytics records expire on Firebase's own retention schedule.
KALESH is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
If this policy changes materially, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
